After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial before taking a scenic drive to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. This bustling city, also known as Ruhengeri, offers cafes, bars, and restaurants, and is surrounded by attractions such as Mount Karisimbi, Musanze Caves, and the stunning twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo.

After an early breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a 2-6 hour gorilla trek through the rainforest, depending on the gorilla group’s location. Spend an unforgettable hour with the gorillas before returning to The Bishop’s House for lunch. Afternoon visit to Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village for an immersive experience of Rwanda’s traditional culture. This village offers a glimpse into the locals’ lives, customs, and history, providing an authentic cultural experience alongside the wildlife adventure.

After an early breakfast, head to Volcanoes National Park for a Golden Monkey trek, lasting 2-6 hours depending on the monkeys’ location, and spend an hour observing them. After lunch, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in southwestern Uganda, and proceed to your lodge. Renowned for its gorilla sightings, Bwindi is Africa’s oldest rainforest, home to half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas.

After an early breakfast, head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing, then begin your gorilla trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which can last 2-7 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements. Spend one hour with the gorillas before returning to Gorilla Heights Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Batwa Cultural Village to experience their traditional way of life. The trek offers an unforgettable encounter with mountain gorillas, while the Batwa visit showcases their ancient customs and traditions.
