Beyond the mountain gorillas, Bwindi is home to nine other primate species, including chimpanzees, olive baboons, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Though elephants are present, they are rarely seen in the dense forest. The park is also home to a variety of other wildlife, including bushbucks and different species of forest duikers. Its impressive bird and butterfly populations further enhance its biodiversity.
