Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where you’ll be met by a driver guide and transferred to the Kigali Marriot Hotel. Afternoon spent with leisure at the hotel. Located near the Nyarugenge financial district and Kigali Convention Center, this 5-star hotel offers spacious rooms with modern amenities, complimentary Wi-Fi, an outdoor pool, and a relaxing spa.

After breakfast, transfer to Akagera National Park’s northern gate, enjoying a game drive en route to Wilderness Magashi Camp. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure. The following day, embark on a morning game drive and an afternoon boat safari on Lake Rwanyakazinga.
Akagera National Park, bordering Tanzania, features woodlands, swamps, savannah, and lakes, sheltering variety of wildlife including the rare shoebill stork.

Day 6: Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
One & Only Nyungwe House.
After an early breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a Golden Monkey trek, Spend one hour observing the monkeys in their natural habitat. Then, drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park with a lunch break at Gisenyi. Continue the journey to One & Only Nyungwe House for an overnight stay. This luxurious lodge, set on the edge of an ancient rainforest within a tea plantation, offers farm-to-table dining, wellness experiences, and immersive encounters with nature.

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on a chimpanzee trek in Nyungwe Forest. Return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before enjoying an afternoon canopy walk, suspended above the lush forest for breathtaking views. Conclude the day with a special dinner in the tea plantation. Nyungwe Forest’s Cyamudongo Chimpanzee Trek offers a chance to observe chimpanzees in their natural environment, while the canopy walk provides a thrilling view of the ancient treetops and wildlife.

After breakfast, spend the morning at leisure, relaxing at the hotel. Enjoy an early lunch before visiting the Ethnographic Museum in Huye, where you’ll explore one of Africa’s finest ethnographic collections showcasing Rwandan culture through historical, artistic, and archaeological exhibits. The Ethnographic Museum, built in 1987, offers seven galleries displaying artifacts with visual aids, providing a deep insight into Rwandan heritage and culture.
Later, transfer to Kigali International Airport for your evening departure flight.
